We’re Changing Thursdays!
Thursday nights at the Hive are undergoing a transformation, starting this week. For a start, we’ll be offering our Summer Dinner Menu, as we do on Friday and Saturday nights. So, if you arrive with your mouth watering for a burger, veggie or beefy, then a burger you shall have! Plus super salads, cheese plates, grilled cheese, soups and more. What’s more, we’ll have special entrées as we do on Saturday nights.
This Thursday, for example, in addition to the Summer Dinner Menu, there’s:
Easy Jazz and Swing with Crazy Feet Pete , guitarist, vocalist and avid dancer, who’s been playing swing for dancers in the Hudson Valley and beyond for years. He leads the swing dance band Crazy Feet, is a member of the Deane Machine, mondoRAJ, and Flappity Back., as well as the band Soul Purpose. He is joined by Lou Pappas on Bass and Ron Knittle on Sax.
Thursdays Are Happening at the Hive.
As this is being written, Don Lewis is at the Greenmarket in Union Square meeting some very special visitors to our country. A group of African Women Agricultural Entrepreneurs who are participants in the International Visitor Leadership Program run by the United States Department of State. In this program agricultural business leaders selected by the American Embassy in their home country come to the US to meet with their counterparts to exchange ideas and experiences. Don’s meeting includes women from Burkina Faso, Ethiopa, Nigeria, Zambia, the Gambia, Malawi and more! We’ll let you know all about it in next week’s newsletter.

We’re open Fridays for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Drop in and let the work week fall away. Friday night’s are lively and this week we’ve got the dynamic guitar duo, Chakra, Timeless and True Acoustic Roots Music, a Little Bit of Country, Bluegrass, R&B, Swing, Jazz and Blues… featuring Cue & Alana. Great regional beers, delicious local wines and a superior selection of Slammin’ Sliders:
